STANDARD
VERSION BASE BOAT INCLUDES:
HULL
Sandwich construction with vinylester resin in female molds. Balsa core
in hull, PVC foam in deck all constructed using infusion process. Hardwood
inserts in way of all hardware. Monolithic (solid glass) areas in way
of sail drive, keel, rudder bearings, thru-hulls, crash box.
Reserve buoyancy of 3 cubic meters of foam per Class 40 rules.
COCKPIT, CABIN TOP, CABIN SIDES, TRANSOM, INTERNAL STRUCTURES
Sandwich construction with vinylester resin, PVC foam and infusion process
on all components. All halyards and lines from mast and inboard end
of boom turn aft at mast base, run through blocks and aft to jammer
farms and winches on aft end of cabin top, port and starboard. Manual
bilge pump in cockpit.
KEEL
Acier E 36 Structural Grade Steel – WELDOX 960
Rectangular box section fabricated steel blade faired to templates.
Lead Bulb
Design drawings, engineering specs, a detailed weld plan and post build
ultrasound/ X-ray testing and full compliant report provided with each
keel.
Keel manufactured in France.
STEERING SYSTEM
Two rudders with solid stainless steel stocks as per class rules. Stock
diameter is 49 mm.
F16PH stainless steel. JP3 self aligning water tight upper and lower
rudder bearings.
Rudder structural grid is built using 316L stainless steel, rudder blade
foam is 250kg/m3 and built with glass and epoxy resin. Rudders are connected
below deck with an aluminum tube. Two laminated, varnished tillers in
cockpit port and starboard, with adjustable stainless steel foot rests
for support when heeling.
MAST and RIG
Manufactured by Lorima/ZSpars in France of pre-preg carbon and autoclaved.
Mast is built in female tool. Mast is deck stepped with double swept
back spreaders (aluminum) and running backstays. Mast is finished with
clear coat polyurethane. Mainsail track is Antal with removable gate
for square top mainsail.
Shrouds and headstay are rod rigging, adjustable inner-forestay and
running backstays are Kevlar.
HARDWARE
Harken winches, blocks and organizers. Spinlock rope clutches. Lewmar
hatches and Wichard deck hardware.
Pulpits, pushpits, stanchions and chainplates in 316L polished stainless
steel.
BALLAST SYSTEM
Two tanks each side with a total of 750L/side to conform with Class
40 rules.
268L aft tank. 464L forward tank. Six watertight inspection hatches
made by Henderson.
Tanks are filled and or emptied via centerline SoFoMarin scoop and electric
high volume pump. Discharge and transfer is via gravity.
INTERIOR
Aft under cockpit P&S pipe berths adjustable to angle of heel via
block and tackle.
Settee bunks P&S main cabin with storage lockers at fore and aft
ends.
Central “Open Boat Style” navigation station with upper
and lower pod for instruments and computers. Angled chart table seat
with storage under.
On forward side of navigation pod is galley surface with sink, stove
and drop down counter space area with storage under
48L Vetus fresh water tank
Bilge pump with float switch.
Utility bilge pump with roaming hose.
Marine Head located stb’d side aft of main bulkhead.
ENGINE
Nanni 3.100 HE diesel engine fresh water cooled with sail drive.
Three cylinder in line engine- 29 HP at 3,600 RPM
